F/Lt Herbert Clifford Jones 410365 RAAF
Age 28. Son of Herbert Henry and Jovita Jones of Thornbury, Victoria, Australia.

F/O Douglas Scott Johnstone 429344 RNZAF
Age 22. Douglas was born on the 19th November 1921 at Christchurch, New Zealand. Douglas was the son of Thomas Scott and Gladys Mary Johnstone. Before enlisting Douglas was employed as a stock agent for Mesers. Pyne, Gould, Guiness Ltd., of Christchurch. Douglas also served as a corporal in the Christchurch territorials. Douglas was enlisted on the 30th July 1942 and following the completion of his initial training was posted to Canada on December 24th.
Shortly after his arrival at No. 3 "M" Depot, Edmonton, Alberta, Douglas was posted to No. 8 Bombing and Gunnery school at Letheridge. On May 2nd 1943 he proceeded to No. 2 Air Observers school where on the 11th June he was awarded his air bombers badge and commission to the rank of Flying Officer. On the 28th of June Douglas embarked from New York to England and on the 14th September he joined No.10 OTU and the crew at Abingdon.

F/Sgt Harold Annalls Monsen-Elvik (Ses) 1394482 RAFVR
Age 23. Harold was married to Cath and had a son called Karl. Before enlisting into the RAF Harold worked as a Pathologist and Bacteriologist at the Maudsley hospital and although this was a reserve occupation Harold joined the RAF in 1942.

F/Sgt John Grant Chadwick (Jack) 1557429 RAFVR
Age 22. After leaving school Jack began working in the accounts department of The Daily Sketch Newspaper in Manchester. The Daily Sketch was part of the Kemsley Group of Newspapers. At the outbreak of the war Jack joined the Kemsley Newspapers Home Guard.
When Jack was 16 he met Patricia Margaret Ellery. On December 21st 1940, aged 19, Jack married Pat. On March 27th 1941 John Michael was born. John joined the RAF in April 1941.

Age 20. Son of Thomas Henry and Winnifred Ivy Moore of Plymouth.

Age 23. Son of Sidney H and Ellen M Herbert of Earlsfield, London.

Sgt Douglas James Ashley Kemp 1861978 RAFVR
Age 20. Son of James William and Edith Kemp of Romford, Essex.
